Come join a team that makes a difference in the ministry of Catholic school education! Scecina Memorial High School is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Development to support the rewarding work of engaging donors to support and advance our mission.

The Assistant Director of Development reports to the Director of Development and works closely with Scecina’s President, the director, and the rest of the Development Team to design and execute an annual development strategy to support school priorities and programs. The assistant director builds and maintains relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects through year-round communications and engagement and helps identify other prospective donors whose interests align with the mission of Scecina Memorial High School.

Among the responsibilities:

  • Cultivate relationships with and successfully invite annual financial support from a portfolio of alumni and friends.  
  • Research and maintain awareness of donors’/prospects’ personal and professional realities in his or her portfolio.
  • Develop and manage implementation of donor and prospect research processes.
  • Assist in evaluating and planning the yearly Scecina Fund (annual appeal) goal, operational plan and timeline, and communication resources.

Skills, knowledge, and/or abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and independent judgment.

Education, Training & Experience:

  • College diploma or some college or postsecondary education.
  • Previous experience in fundraising and development preferred but not required.
  • A commitment to Catholic school education.
